Since last October, IBEC Región Andina has begun to offer the ICDL international certification standard for digital competences from their centers in Quito, Ecuador and Lima, Peru, which have been accredited as ICDL Accredited Test Centres with the aim of providing digital skills training and certification of worldwide validity to students, teachers, administrative personnel of univiersities, institutes and universities; as well as the human resources at private and public organizations, NGOs and the community in general.

The division of IBEC for the Andean Region (known as IBEC Andean Region) is made up of the following countries: Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Chile. In this first stage, the offices of Ecuador and Peru were accredited.
