ICDL Americas recently participated in the “Virtual Environments in education” fair organized by the Panamanian Association of Enterprise Executives (APEDE) in Panama City. Romina Gonzalez, Development Manager, presented on Digital skills for the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in educational environments, emphasizing that in order to achieve the educational goals of the introduction of ICT in learning environments training and continuous development of teachers is key. The conference was shared with Claudia Maria Restrepo Zea, 50 Line R & D in Computer education Project Coordinator at EAFIT University in Colombia, who presented on foresight virtual look-Case models in the laboratory for educational innovation and learning environments Project 50.
Among those attending there were colleges, schools, government officials and companies.
APEDE authorities emphasized the importance of the event, which the City of Knowledge and INADEH support, suggesting that this is only the first edition of an annual event that will continues to grow and become a reference in the region.
