On September 22, the first world-class International Digital Talent Symposium: axis of sustainable development was held, organized by the Sectorial Table for Technology and Digital Talent Management of SENA, the National Learning Service of Colombia. Together with our partners FaceIT, ICDL participated with two presentations from the ICDL Foundation.

The SENA Sectorial Table for Technology and Digital Talent Management affirms that conversations about the future of work and digital talent are increasingly frequent and necessary, however, if we do not generate synergies and commitments, they remain in good intentions. The pandemic showed us the importance of developing basic and advanced digital skills to keep fundamental processes of work, education, access to health services and others, mediated by technology, in force.
We need to create spaces for conversation, consolidation of initiatives, follow-up of results and articulation of efforts, that lead us to achieve the country’s objectives and that allow us to strengthen human talent, so that together with the digital ecosystem, develop strategic skills that allow us to generate as a country, socioeconomic growth.
These strategies must be analyzed in a comprehensive manner, for which the Sectorial Table for Technology Management and Digital Talent with the technical secretary at SENA, has proposed with the Symposium, to generate a national conversation in which an acknowledgment of experiences is made. international countries, the challenges and strategies proposed are detailed that allow us to have a point of comparison with our reality to make better decisions that lead us to that scenario that strengthens digital talent and generates better opportunities for sustainable development for the country.
ICDL Foundation offered presentations related to these topics, seeking to bring international experiences to the regional conversation.

The Sectorial Table for Technology and Digital Talent Management with the technical secretary at SENA, is an instance of agreement that promotes conversation and the generation of strategies that strengthen human talent, in which the productive, academic and government sectors articulate efforts to identify talent gaps and propose projects that promote the development of skills that allow Colombians to insert themselves more easily into the labor market.
