New SINED nodes join the network of ICDL Test Centres in Mexico


As part of a long standing alliance between ICDL Americas and the National Distance Education System (SINED) of Mexico, during 2016new SINED Nodes continued to join the network of ICDL Test Centres.

SINED is an educational, collaborative and integrative social network whose mission is to promote distance education to raise the quality, coverage and equity of education in Mexico, through the institutionalization of educational social networks, as well as the use, integration, development and dissemination of innovative educational technologies, products and services that promote the generation and management of knowledge for economic growth and social welfare.

SINED Nodes are set up in national universities or other educational institutions in order to support, advise and train people, educational institutions, research and development centres, and companies in their environment, to identify educational needs and niches of knowledge generation opportunities and incorporate them into SINED network.

Throughout the year 2016, new SINED Nodes have completed the ICDL accreditation process, such as the Universidad de Guanajuato, Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, Centro Fox and Universidad Tecnológica de Puebla, which join the existing Accredited Test Centres such as the Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas and Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas.
