ICDL has been recognised as a qualified IT standard in Vietnam, thanks to a new Circular issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) on 3 November. Circular 03/2014/BTTTT (Circular No. 03) defines the standards of digital literacy competence for organisations and companies in Vietnam.
After much research and a detailed mapping process, ICDL Vietnam has successfully completed the mapping of the ICDL syllabus to the information technology skills cited in the annex of Circular No. 03. This led to an Official Dispatch of the MCI, signed by the Deputy Minister, which acknowledges ICDL as a true and reliable standard for computer users in Vietnam.
This recognition attests to the quality of ICDL as a true global standard and emphasises the importance of having a standard as Vietnam swiftly develops in the area of information, communication and technology.
